Background information on Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month (DFVPM). DFVPM is a Queensland Government initiative, led by the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety, to encourage government and non-government agencies, the private sector, community groups and individuals to work together to help prevent DFV, support those affected, and uplift the key outcome of the Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Strategy 2016-2026: All Queenslanders live safely in their own homes and children can grow and develop in safe and secure environments.
