Terms & Conditions

1. PROMOTION PERIOD

1.1 The competition runs from 9:00am on 25 May 2026 to 5:00pm on 8 June 2026 (“Competition Period”).

1.2 Entries must be submitted during the Competition Period only.

1.3 Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 Open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.

2.2 Employees of Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre, its management, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

2.3 Maximum one entry per person for the entire Competition Period.

3. HOW TO ENTER

3.3.1 To enter, participants must:

• Visit www.cliffordgardens.com.au during the Competition Period
• Complete the e-newsletter sign-up form with valid contact details
• Submit the completed form

3.2 By entering, participants consent to receiving marketing communications from Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre via email.

3.3 Entries that are incomplete, contain false information, or cannot be verified will be disqualified.

3.4 Participants may unsubscribe from the e-newsletter at any time after the Competition Period without affecting their entry status.

4. PRIZE

4.1 One (1) winner will receive: 2 tickets to see the Melbourne Comedy Festival at The Empire Theatre

4.2 Total prize pool value: Approximately $200.00 (based on standard ticket pricing)

4.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

4.4 The tickets are subject to the terms and conditions of The Empire Theatre and the Melbourne Comedy Festival event organiser.

4.5 The tickets have an expiry date as stated on the tickets at time of issue and must be used for the specified performance.

4.6 The prize does not include travel, accommodation, meals, or any other costs associated with attending the event. The winner is responsible for all additional expenses.

4.7 If the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or unavailable, the Promoter will work with the winner to arrange alternative tickets where possible, but accepts no liability if this is not possible.

5. WINNER SELECTION

5.1 The winner will be selected by random draw at 2:00pm on 9 June 2026 at Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre management office.

5.2 The draw will be conducted by random selection in the presence of an independent witness.

5.3 The winner will be notified via email to the address provided during sign-up within 48 hours of the draw.

5.4 If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the initial notification attempt, or fails to claim their prize within 14 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and a reserve winner will be drawn.

6. VERIFICATION AND DISQUALIFICATION

6.1 The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and request proof of identity before awarding the prize.

6.2 The Promoter may disqualify entries that:

• Are fraudulent, incomplete, or do not comply with these terms and conditions
• Use false or misleading information
• Are submitted through automated means or multiple accounts

6.3 Any attempt to manipulate or circumvent these terms will result in immediate disqualification.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND USAGE RIGHTS

7.1 The winner’s first name and suburb may be published on Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre’s social media channels and website for promotional purposes.

7.2 By entering, participants grant Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre permission to use their name and suburb for promotional purposes related to this competition.

8. LIABILITY AND WARRANTIES

9.1 The Promoter makes no warranties regarding social media platform availability or technical f8.1 The Promoter makes no warranties regarding website availability or technical functionality.

8.2 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for:

• Lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries
• Technical failures affecting entry submission
• Any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in this competition or acceptance of the prize
• Changes to event scheduling, cancellation, or any issues with the event itself
• The winner’s ability to attend the event on the specified date

8.3 The Promoter’s total liability is limited to the cost of replacing the prize.

8.4 Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. PRIVACY

9.1 Personal information collected will be used for conducting this competition, prize distribution, and sending marketing communications from Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre.

9.2 The winner’s first name and suburb may be published on Clifford Gardens Shopping Centre’s social media channels and website for promotional purposes.

9.3 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy and will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or to facilitate prize delivery.

9.4 By entering, participants consent to the Promoter collecting, using, and disclosing their personal information as described in these terms and conditions.

9.5 Participants have the right to access and correct their personal information by contacting the Promoter.

11. GENERAL CONDITIONS

11.1 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

11.2 Participants release Facebook and Instagram from any liability in connection with this competition.

11.3 Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the competition should be directed to the Promoter, not to Facebook or Instagram.

12. GENERAL CONDITIONS

10.1 The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary, subject to any applicable legislation.

10.2 The Promoter’s decisions regarding all aspects of this competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

10.3 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

10.4 By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
